& Odor
CLEAN · RINSE · DRY
REF: #1F1F21-BLUEPRINT
Why odors return
Odor returns when moisture remains inside layers, when soap residue stays in fabric, or when organic residue is not fully removed.
- Incomplete drying: moisture in seams reactivates odor.
- Residue buildup: soap left behind holds oils and particles.
- High-humidity: low airflow prevents full drying between uses.
- Spot-clean only: surface looks clean, but deeper layers remain soiled.
- Wrong product: strong cleaners may damage surfaces.
- Repeat exposure: frequent use without airing compounds odors.
Routine Workflow
Daily Actions
- → Hair removal: Lint roller or rubber brush.
- → Wipe down: Soft cloth + water only.
- → Air out: Open ventilation after heavy use.
Standard Checks
- → Seam inspection for residue buildup.
- → Never store while damp.
- → Keep away from direct sun / heat vents.
The Deep Cleaning Protocol
Remove loose hair and debris first. Cleaning is less effective when residue is still embedded.
Spot-test a hidden area with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth before full cleaning.
Clean from low-soil zones to high-soil zones. Use light pressure and controlled strokes.
Rinse: wipe again with clean water to remove soap residue (do not leave cleaning agents behind).
Dry fully with airflow. Open folds and seams. Avoid high heat unless explicitly permitted.
Re-check after drying. If odor remains, repeat a mild rinse + extended dry cycle.
Odor Control (No Masking)
The goal is neutralization through cleaning and drying—not covering odor with fragrance. Strong scents may irritate sensitive pets and create harder-to-remove mixed odors.
